My first real crawl

So it is a little hard to tell. Billy tried taking lots of footage, but today, on her 8 month b'day, Lily finally crawled for real.  She has been real good at starting in the right position and taking one knee forward, but then she would go into what we call the swim mode.  She was really moving tonight.  That being said, tomorrow, while Billy is off taking care of the Decatur house (any takers?)  I will be here setting up all the baby gates and locking up the cabinets under the kitchen sink.  We have such a big girl.

8 months old

Lily turns 8 months old today. To celebrate she is sporting her Cindy Lou Who hairstyle. Boot is not a fan of this hairstyle, but then what does Boot know about high fashion.

Bad hair day

Hanging out at Hackie and Boot's today while Mom is getting her tooth fixed. Hackie said it looked like Mom didn't brush my hair today. I wonder how she would know the difference. Yep, I rock this hair my daddy gave me.

Dolphin Swing

On our weekly Sunday visit to Hackie and Boot's, we took Lily down by the lake and gave her a push or two on the Dolphin swing.  You can tell by her expression that she likes it a little bit.  She liked it so much, that the Dolphin swing has now been relocated to Alpharetta.

Lillian Grace and Gracie

We have been trying to get a picture of our 2 Graces together for a long time. We haven't been able to capture one since the lovely Halloween photos.  It's amazingly hard to get the 2 of them to sit still and both look at the camera - but alas, today, with no help from us, they both decided to sit up and look at the camera.

Lillian Grace cut her 2nd tooth yesterday and is chewing on everything she can get her hands on - including sometimes, Gracie's tail.  Good thing Gracie thinks that she is Lily's other mother and lets her get away with anything she wants.

Look, I sat up by myself.

It's hard to tell because I started the video too late, but Lily went from lying down and rolling to sitting up by herself. You can tell from my yelling that we had never seen this before.  We are very proud, and a little scared -  We think crawling is going to start anyday (Poor Gracie, Bandit and Bama.)  All this excitement after being diagnosed with our 4th straight ear infection yesterday.
