Tate's last ultrasound

The last few times we have been to see Dr. Stone, Tate has not cooperated with the camera.  He didn't do great today either, but in the 2nd shot you can make out his face.  Looks like another baby with the Capell nose.  They did show me the hair he had on his head - which I hope explains all the heartburn of late.  We both got hooked up to some monitors today, and they were able to detect that I am having contractions - so maybe 6 days, maybe less.

Friends

Holding hands with our friend Dolly and sitting with our best friend Carl. Too bad this cute scene is happening before 6am.

Get your motor running ...

This morning we finally found the time to assemble Lil's big wheel. She burned a few laps around the patio and then took off down the hill. By the time I caught up to her she was nearing the lower patio and scared breathless. She took two seconds to regroup and was back in the saddle again ...

Big Carl

Ms. Amy brought a big giraffe into school last week. Lily has named it Big Carl. She wants to ride him everyday. This am another girl wanted to ride Big Carl. That did not go over very well with Lily. Good thing no one has ever tried to touch real Carl.

Birthday cupcakes at school

Monday, Mommy and Daddy went to see Lily at school and brought cupcakes for her birthday.  Seems Lily is following in the footsteps of her mother - celebrating a birthday all week long.  I see nothing wrong with that.  The cupcakes were her 2nd favorite color.  The new favorite color is orange.

PS - Doesn't someone - 35 weeks pregnant - look very comfortable in those little bitty chairs?

Getting Ready for the Football

This weekend, on the eve of Lil's second birthday, she wanted to perform an interpretive dance (in two parts) of the Tide's first game of the season against Kent State. Part one is an interpretation of fan excitement and the start of football season. Part two is her interpretation of the opposing team - the Kent State Sisters of the Angry Heart.

Let there be cool air, and heat!!

After really enjoying our new addition, the playroom, for the past year - we have bit the bullet and added heat and air.  With the snow of last year and the 100+ degree days of this year, we couldn't go without it any longer.  We really didn't want to spend the money - but after the last 5 minutes I just spent in there with the cool air, it is so worth it.  The unit was bigger than we thought, so we had to rearrange the room.  It may take us a little while to get use to the new arrangement - but we will be cool as we get use to it.
