My 1st Home Cooked Meal

Tonight at dinner, Lily has leftover roasted chicken, carrots and potatoes, that her daddy made.  It was a big step.  She loves her bottle and her baby food, but until tonight had turned her nose up and stuck her tongue out at any kind of chunks in her baby food.  She did really well.  She ate a few pieces of each.  Chewed and swallowed them up.  She got a little frustrated, so we gave the rest to Gracie and Lily had a jar of apples and chicken.  She's such a big girl.  Prior to dinner, she had stood up many times by herself and tried to use her walker.  We will post a new video soon of all this standing up.

Morning fun

Lily was in a great mood this morning and wanted to take some photos. Now we just need her daddy to be super awake and happy in the morning too.  Check out the 2 bottom teeth that Lily is sporting.

Lunch Date

We had a lunch date today with Amy, Vickie, Sam and Hannah.  I don't take Lily out very often, besides school and Hackie's and Boot's.  Maybe I should.  You can tell from the photos that she really enjoys it.  She was fascinated with Sam and Hannah - and tried to say hello to every other person in Willie's.  I think she was just really trying to get someone to buy her a taco.  Typical!

Feeling so much better

It's 1:45pm and I am feeling so much better after those shots. I just had broccoli, broccoli for the first time. I dug it. Gracie, as usual, had some little crunchies that I threw on the floor when I was done. I almost ate a carrot chunk, but then remembered, I hate chunks of food. I will try chunks again tomorrow and see if I still hate them.

Last day of shots

Here we are at the dr office minutes before our last round of shots for our ear infection. We won't show you the pictures of seconds after the shots. Dr says we are looking much better. Now we wait 2 weeks and then come back for one more check-up. If that one doesn't go well, we are off to the ENT to get tubes. Keep your fingers crossed.

Faux Hawk

Lily came home from school today with a 3 pony tail faux hawk.  We are assuming this is courtesy of Mrs. Amy.  Our hope is that if Boot goes to beauty school as he promised during our wedding preparations, that Lily will have great hair for many years to come.  We wanted to get some shots of the hairstyle, but then Lily got very excited about the camera flashing, so we just turned it into an all out photo shoot.  So happy Tuesday, and happy Faux Hawk.

From Crawling to Standing

On Friday, Lily really started to crawl.  On Saturday, we took this video.  Again, I was a little slow in the beginning, so we miss her crawling over to the bug and standing on her own.  Maybe we will be standing and walking soon too.  She also said "Ball" yesterday.  Once she said it, we tried over and over to get her to say it again.  Apparently, she does not perform on command.

My first real crawl

So it is a little hard to tell. Billy tried taking lots of footage, but today, on her 8 month b'day, Lily finally crawled for real.  She has been real good at starting in the right position and taking one knee forward, but then she would go into what we call the swim mode.  She was really moving tonight.  That being said, tomorrow, while Billy is off taking care of the Decatur house (any takers?)  I will be here setting up all the baby gates and locking up the cabinets under the kitchen sink.  We have such a big girl.

8 months old

Lily turns 8 months old today. To celebrate she is sporting her Cindy Lou Who hairstyle. Boot is not a fan of this hairstyle, but then what does Boot know about high fashion.
