While mom is away ...

Lil and I are on our own for a few nights this week - mom is in Orlando rubbing elbows with the type of people who go to Orlando (whomever that may be). Meanwhile, back at Crofton Farm, the kid and I are eating fried chickens and yogurt! Mom, if you're reading this, wash your elbows.

To the park!

We went to the neighborhood park May 8th. Lily had fun at the playground. We then went to the pool to see how cold the water was. Lily ran straight into the kiddie pool and fell completely underwater. It was cold. We went home. Unfortunately, we have no photographs of the wet and cold child, nor the paniky mother, nor still of the slightly agitated father. No doubt, those photographs would be much more amusing than the modest collection we have to offer.

The 80s called, they are jealous.

So when I picked up Lily today, her hair was up. Her teacher said they had played with squirt guns. I just took her hair down and viola. I think any respectable 80's hair band would be jealous of this hair. She definitely has her daddy's hair.

School Days

As part of my Mother's Day gifts from Lily, she gave me cd of photos from her previous class.  A day in the life of Lily at school.  These are from Sept - Nov of 2010. She also painted a flower pot and gave me some flowers, and gave me a picture of the 2 of us.  I will not be posting it, because let's just say it is not flattering.

Today to continue the Mother's Day weekend, we all went to the Pancake House for breakfast, then to Home Depot and finished our morning at Costco.  Now that's fun times.  I wonder what is in store for the real day tomorrow.

Hide and Go Scare

A couple of videos of Lily and Billy's favorite game.  We like to call it "Hide and go scare the begeezus out of Lily."  She loves to have him scare her.  Gracie gets all crazy during the game too.  We aren't sure if she is jealous, or if she doesn't like Billy scaring her baby.  This was taken yesterday before the 2 of them came down with the Spring flu.  Apparently I gave it to them or something like that.  Oh, and we found out today - at the Dr, that my rash is not a rash - it is shingles.  Awesome!!

No more carnivals - for a while.

We started today with swim lesson #3.  Lily has learned to jump, or scoot, off the side into the water.  We are very proud.  Then we went to the school carnival.  Lily was afraid of the horses and the train.  Things in the past she has loved.  We may stop going until she is older.  She did love fishing, which made Daddy proud.  We end today's photos with a shot of my leg and the rash.  It is all over my leg and we have no clue what it is - and luckily it came 7 days ago with a horrible cough.  I am super lucky that way.
