Thanks Hackie and Boot for your old furniture. Now we have some places for others to sit when they come and visit. Looks like Lily is glad the new chairs are here too.
I'm not sure which one of them is having the most fun. You can see, Gracie could care less.
We had Christmas with Nannan and Parrian Bowman last night and Lily got some new pots and pans. Here she is using them for the first time. Looks like she was making something for Gracie. Gracie seems to be giving Lily the thumbs up on her cooking ability.
Lily decided that Gracie needed some tea and pastries. Well duh, she does.
Lily went to spend the day at Hackie and Boot's today so that Mommy and Daddy could do some work in the yard. Here are pictures of what was done. The yard was blown, the basement cleaned and swept, the huge piles of stone were moved and hidden from Lily, the old rock garden was removed and replaced by a new stone patio, and Billy almost finished my wrapping table. We are officially exhausted and can't move. Now to the lake to winterize the boat and to start Champagne Sunday!!
Sunday morning, playroom, Yo Gabba Gabba on, Daddy and Gracie close, bowl of Cheerios! It doesn't get much better than this.
So every year we ask our neighbor if he goes to the neighborhood Halloween parade and he always looks at us like we are freaks. We now know why. We tried to go today. The parade started at 4:30, so we got there at 4:25. At 4:45, we were still standing around waiting for someone to start doing something. Then we left. Not before not a single person said hi to us, or before Lily fell on the cement and scratched up her face. It was awesome. We will not be going back.
Since she was about 7 months old, Lily is the one responsible for giving Gracie her Milkbone. Both girls have come a long way - and understand their boundaries during this. I think it is a special bonding time for them.
